Admin
The admin section is designed to give the users administration over the Users, Accounts, Templates (within their Company) and a few other useful functions based on their rights access.
Users Config
- The Users screen is designed to Add/Edit/Delete Users held within the company. Selecting Users from the Admin toolbar brings you to the Users screen, displaying all of the current Users within the organization.
- This is where the Administrator would edit a particular user account. Once the config button has been clicked, you are brought to the Configuration of that user account. In order to make changes, you must click the 'Edit' button at the top. This will allow you to change their name, username, password, access rights, etc. For further details about properly configuring a User account, see User Access Rights.
User Access Rights
- Below you will see the available options and their descriptions that allow you to customize and restrict site access to users all across the site. In order to modify these settings, you must select the Config button.
- Read-Only
- Allows more or less full site access except restricts the user from making any modifications whatsoever Restricted
- Disallows any editing functions and severely limits the access of the user to only essential site elements
- No Delete
- Restricts the user from deleting anything in the system (such as other users, accounts, regions etc.)
- No Re-login
- Restricts the admin's ability to 're-login' as one of their users
- No Task Issue
- Restricts the users ability to issue tasks to their devices
- No User Access
- User does not see the other users in their company. No ability to access/configure other users.
- User is restricted from seeing/adding/removing users in accounts.
- No Account Access
- User does not see accounts listing on machine config page.
- No access to accounts page to see/manage accounts.
- No ability to see accounts associated with scheduled reports. No ability to add user to accounts.
- No Report Access
- No access to report, scheduled reports, or report shortcuts pages.
- No ability to assign reports to users.
- No Template Access
- No access to template pages.
- No ability to apply templates to devices or assign to users.
- No Region Access
- No access to region pages.
- Cannot see regions loosely associated with accounts on the account page.
- Cannot use region data filters on report pages
- Does not see region(s) column in location info on machine management page or equipment pages.
- Does not see regions on the map.
- No Block Function
- No access to block-functions page where user can perform action on a block of (multiple) devices with one operation.
- No Report History Access
- User does not see list of historically generated scheduled reports on the Reports page.
- No Report Scheduling Access
- Does not see existing scheduled reports and is not given controls to add new ones.
- No Machine Work Detail Access
- The user is not given access to the machine work details page.
- No Machine Work Detail Modify
- The user may have access to see machine work details but cannot add or change existing work detail entries.
- No Machine Archiving Access
- User is not given access to the archive machine button on the block functions page.
- Use Imperial
- Display imperial units (miles, feet, pounds) rather than metric (kilometers, kilograms) on reports and value items.
- Restricted
- Allow Machine Work Details Modify
- Allows even a 'restricted' (see above) user the ability to modify/add machine work detail entries.
- Allow Editing of Location Regions
- Allow user to add and edit regions on the map. Users with this option enabled can also manually modify the textual representation of their regions on the region config page.
- Users see only assigned Regions(JobSites)
- Normally a user will see all the defined regions on their company. This option requires the admin to explicitly assign specific regions in order for them to be seen. Regions can be assigned to a user on the user's config page.
- Allow access to Alpha Site
- Only visible to global admins, gives user access to login to emmsalpha.dplwireless.com
- Allow access to Beta Site
- Only visible to global admins, gives user access to login to emmsbeta.dplwireless.com
